Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon barbecue sauce smooth, hickory style
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 pinch garlic powder

Equipment

  • mixing bowl
  • whisk

Method

  1. Add the mayonnaise, honey, yellow mustard, white vinegar, and barbecue sauce to a bowl.
  2. Sprinkle in the smoked paprika and garlic powder.
  3. Whisk until completely smooth and glossy, about 1 minute.
  4. Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors blend.

Notes

The flavor deepens after an hour in the fridge, so make it ahead if you can. For a smoother, more authentic color, use a smooth BBQ sauce rather than a chunky one.
