Ingredients

Ribs & Rub
  • 2 racks baby back ribs
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
BBQ Glaze
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Foil
  • Saucepan

Method

  1. Remove the membrane from the ribs. Mix the rub and coat both racks. Wrap tightly in foil.
  2. Bake at 275F for 2.5-3 hours until very tender.
  3. Simmer the glaze ingredients for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Unwrap the ribs, brush generously with glaze, and broil 3-5 minutes until sticky and caramelized.
  5. Rest a few minutes, then slice and serve with extra glaze.

Notes

Low and slow in the oven, wrapped in foil, is the secret to fall-off-the-bone ribs. Glaze and broil at the end for a sticky, caramelized finish.
