Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken or thin chicken cutlets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 4 soft burger buns
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce

Equipment

  • Deep skillet
  • Mixing bowls

Method

  1. Form the ground chicken into 4 thin oval patties (or use thin cutlets).
  2. Mix the flour with the paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt.
  3. Dip each patty in beaten egg, then dredge in the seasoned flour.
  4. Fry in 350F oil for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through, then drain.
  5. Spread mayo on toasted buns, add the patty and shredded lettuce, and serve.

Notes

A thin, well-seasoned breading is the McChicken signature. Keep the patties thin so they crisp up fast and fit the bun.
